The Infant Toddler Mental Health Coalition of Arizona
The Infant Toddler Mental Health Coalition of Arizona and several community partners are hosting an in-person social justice conference for professionals supporting perinatal and birth through five members and families.
Who Should Attend: Providers and system partners who work on behalf of families with young children - perinatal through five years of age.
It is our hope that this conference will provide a safe community for providers to have brave discussions about equity and social justice through the lens of cultural humility. Workshops will focus on reflection, respect, regard and relevance to the work we do as providers, in hopes of creating inclusive communities of care for every family.
The day will begin with an Interactive Keynote presented by Jeanine Bashir. The focus is "One Size Does Not Fit All:
Centering Communities and Families with Children Perinatal through Five for a Greater Impact". The morning will close with six workshops to choose from as we begin to talk about equity and inclusivity for every family. We will then break for a lunch provided to participants as part of the conference. The afternoon will begin with a panel discussion: "Building Communities of Care Through Diverse Perspectives". After a brief break, we will take a deeper dive into equity and inclusivity for every family. The day will end coming back together as a large group as we make personal commitments to support the theme of the conference.
Cost to attend is $35/per person. Click here for Mindful Beginnings agenda.
